Who says a wild heart can’t be tamed?
For years, I lived for the job and let it control me. Violence was all I knew. I protected, killed, and served. My name is Blake Evans, one of the best undercover cops in the country. I thought I was about to live a quiet life on my ranch in Wyoming until an old friend showed up and changed everything. He brought me her, Hadley Rivers, country music sensation and the one woman I couldn't have. I didn't want her but she had me completely roped in.
My job is to protect her, to keep her away from some psycho who wants her for himself. However, there's more to her story than I was led to believe. I promised to keep her safe and I won't back down . . . even if I have to die trying. I can't let him have her.

Bad Girls Don't Marry Marines by Codi Gary (Rock Canyon, Idaho Series)

I loved the story line of Justin and Valerie. Val as her friends call her has come from a family of sisters who aren't the best role models in the world and it drives their dad nuts. He is a politician and he wants his family to have a squeaky clean image but the girls aren't going there.

When Val gets divorced from her sleazy ex-husband she moves back to Rock Canyon and opens up a dog grooming business and she loves it. When she is at the store one night she runs into ex high school flame Justin and the sparks fly once again but she can't let herself get involved with him.

They see each other and things start to get heated again and she decides to take the risk no matter what her father says and the local town gossip has a field day with the idea of the two of them getting together again.

Needless, to say her dad is not happy with the idea and threatens to disown her but she lays the law down and all ends well as it should. A wonderful read and I was so enthralled with the family that I want to read Caroline's story next.

Good Girls Don't Date Rock Stars by Codi Gary (Rock Canyon, Idaho series)

I have come to love the girls from Rock Canyon and this one was no different. Travis is the famous country singer who lived in the small town of Rock Canyon and Gemma Carlson is a single mom who owns a bookstore in the small town.

They dated back in high school and when she was 17 she went to see Travis at one of his concerts but she didn't like what she saw and she ran and for ten years she didn't see him or talk to him.

Then the one weekend she went to Vegas she runs into him and all things happen.  Travis ends up coming back to Rock Canyon and gets the surprise of his life and he is not sure how to handle the situation and wants to make things right with Gemma.

A wonderful read and I was staying up to read it all in one sitting so I could find out what happened. I can't wait to read more of the stories from the Rock Canyon series.

Things Good Girls Don't Do by Cari Cody (Rock Canyon, Idaho series)

Love the story of Chance and Miss" I'm a good girl" Katie. The whole town expected Katie to be the goody two shoes her mother raised her to be but after seven years with her ex Jimmy she decides to make a list of things that she has always wanted to do and was to afraid to act on.

Chase Trepasso is the newest business owner in Canyon Rock and he sees Katie at the bar and sees the list she has written and takes off with it.

This puts Katie in a tizzy and she tries to get the list back but it was too late. Chase and Katie hang out to do all the stuff on her list and the townspeople, especially Mrs. Andrews think that Chase is not good for her and think he is nothing but trash.

Katie finally learns to stick up for herself and makes changes that she knows will be better for her. I love this town of Canyon Rock and can't wait to read more of the adventures that go on in this town.

Synopsis

Merrick Thatcher went through a hell that no one could possibly imagine. He fought to protect his country, his family, and the men standing at his side, but it wasn't just being a soldier overseas that changed him. He watched his friends die in front of him, felt indescribable pain, and lost his sight in the very same moment. Badly injured, blind, and angry, he's done with war, but now he’s fighting his own battle. So, he’s waiting for it to end, spending his days and nights in a thick darkness no light can penetrate. Until Grace walks into his life and his broken eyes open to a woman that changes everything for him. A story about two flawed souls finding love amidst the grief. A love that shines vividly, even in the dark, and discovering that sometimes being broken is how the light gets in.
For readers 18+ due to language, violence, and sexual situations

Like many other foundations, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides assistance to injured soldiers as well as their families. SOWF also focuses on one of the most important challenges those families face; 'getting to their hospitalized loved ones as quickly as possible'. With grants immediately provided to the family, they can travel to be bedside with their loved one, especially for those crucial first days. SOWF also provides a scholarship program, family services (including clinical social workers, scholarship counselors, and family services counselors). With on-going support and helpful counseling to all families of fallen members in every branch of the military, they are able to help in all the ways that count. The SOWF was highly recommended to me by a recent veteran who served in Iraq. Therefore, I am thrilled to be able to help them in any way possible. Every little bit counts.

Author Bio

I live in Morgan, Utah with my husband, beautiful daughter, and a couple of spoiled pups. If I'm not deeply involved in writing my next book, then I'm probably reading in the safety and quiet of my closet. I love yoga – which I now practice regularly – playing hide and seek with my daughter (only to have my hiding spots revealed by one of the pups), and I love Fruit by the Foot, Twizzlers and Peace Tea. These are great ways to bribe me into revealing secrets about what's to come.
I have an unhealthy obsession with Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and The Big Bang Theory. I also enjoy talking about them, so if you like them, too, come find me.
Writing has become an enormous part of my life and every book I write holds a special place in my heart.  If you read one of my books, I hope you have the same experience.
