Renee's final story has been told. Lady Triumphs is the third book in the Black Rose Trilogy. We finally get the answers we have been waiting for with anticipated breath and find out if Geoffrey, Lord Trent finally gets the just desserts he deserves. Does Raven, a.k.a. Lady Serena Welcott, finally win? Will Serena and Phillip finally put the past behind them and get together and live happily ever after? And we are introduced to a new character, Adam, Trent's nephew.
When Adam arrives there is another plot to the story of will Serena stay with Phillip or will her heart lead her to Adam even though he is related to Trent, her arch nemesis. It was as always a wonderful read and kept me wanting to turn page after page to find out what would happen. Now I want to go back and re-read the entire trilogy together for a wonderful adventure again. For those of you who hate waiting for the next installment, like me and bite their nails waiting for the next piece of the puzzle, you can purchase the Black Rose Trilogy as a boxed set on Amazon.
I would love to see another story come out of this and see what other adventures Serena and Phillip get into and I would like to see Adam get his own story also. He deserves and I loved what happened to Geoffrey it was a fitting end to his campaign against Serena.

The Devil to Pay has arrived and it was worth the trip to meet the Devil
Jayne just got passed over for a promotion so she is feeling low and one day while at lunch she spies a skyscraper that she swears she had never seen before and was amazed at how quickly it was built. She walks into the building and her life is changed forever. She meets Luke Morningstar, CEO of Hades Enterprises, H.E. LLc and is surprised when she finds out that he is indeed the Devil. She is afraid at first because she has all the same preconceived notions of what the Devil is like and is sure that he is the same way but he proves her wrong and in turn she learns some interesting things about what she had been taught about the archangels and death and the Devil himself.
When Luke first meets Jayne he is in awe that she can see the building and he finds out why so he says, " I hate to win and run, but I have to see a Demon about a fruit basket." He and the archangels play poker every Thursday night and I was shocked to learn that they do human things. This is a wonderful book and it made me take another look at what we all think the archangels are supposed to be like. I loved his assistant, Malcolm and I hope that he gets his own story next.

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday only Devil to Pay by Renee Bernard is only .99 cent. Go grab your copy today. It will be well worth the read. After Monday it goes back to $5.99.

So you think you've had a bad day at the office? Try running Hades Enterprises, LLc, also known as H.E.LLc. Being the only Archangel in an organization that employs demons has its challenges and daily dose of headaches, but when the current Lucifer falls in love with a mortal woman...apparently heartache is also added to the agenda. Love rules even when you're the Prince of Darkness!

Lady Rises, Book 2 of the Black Rose Trilogy Review
Renee Bernard has done it again and cannot wait for Book 3 to finally arrive. I loved the second installment and was on pins and needles as to whether or not Phillip would see Raven again. He has but she has changed her name to Lady Serena Wellcot and the last place he expected to find her was at his cousin's house. Boy do the sparks fly again between these two but Raven, now Lady Serena, keeps her calm and keeps the upper hand. She has now become a avenger for ladies in need.
One of my favorite quotes from the book is, "I am the woman who decided that if the world were made of games that I would be mistress of the a greater game." Serena, Lady Wellcot.
Phillip has a good part in the book too where it says, "Phillip had survived as one last flimsy stand against Trent, as if to say, 'I live therefore I am not defeated.'". Words to live by. The story is fast paced as usual and man I never knew what was going to happen next. Can't wait to see Trent come back into the picture and get what is due to him. At first I didn't like Phillip for what he had done to Raven but I think he is coming to realize what he did was wrong and wants to make it right. As for Raven, Serena, we shall see if she can truly forgive him.

"Delicious! A fabulous story that draws you in from the very first word and stays with you long after the finish. -"Máire Claremont, Award Winning Author
Raven Wells is no ordinary girl. Plucked from an orphanage by a scheming earl, she has been raised like a thoroughbred, groomed for one purpose: Revenge. Unfortunately, the Earl of Trent never let her in on the plan, so when she meets the man of her dreams, Sir Phillip Warrick, she has no idea that every lesson, every tutor and every impulsive inch of her was crafted for his seduction and destruction. What she does know is that love is the prize she wants most and that nothing should stand in a woman’s way to getting what she wants.
Phillip Warrick is simply trying to recover his friendship with the earl, unaware that the man has spent years laying the foundation for destroying Phillip’s peace of mind. What he does know is that the earl’s ward, Raven Wells, is mesmerizing, fascinating and apparently without reserve. Witty, beautiful, impulsive and impossible—she is like a siren beckoning him to forget the rules and seize only the pleasures of the moment.
Together, their love will set in motion a series of events that no one can foresee. Revenge creates more than one victim, but also more than one winner. Raven Wells will be transformed into a force of nature the likes of which Victorian London has never experienced before. LADY FALLS is the birth of the Black Rose and the end of innocence.
