Oh my goodness what a wonderful story. I love, love, love Raven Wells. She is creative and innovative and is one female who can take care of herself. When she was nine she was put in an orphanage because the people who were taking care of her died and then Lord Trent shows up to be her savior from the horrible place; but he has his own plans for Raven and she has no idea.
In walks our hero, Sir Phillip Warrick, who is the unwitting pawn of Lord Trent. Neither he nor Raven know what is planned for them and there is a shock waiting them both. They both fall in love and want to be together but will fate allow that to happen or rather Lord Trent??????????
Raven will become the woman she is meant to be and hell hath no fury as a woman scorned so watch out London. I cannot say more without giving away the whole story but please run, and I mean run to your computer and buy Renee's lastest book for .99 cents while it lasts. It will be worth it and when the next installment, Lady Rises, is released believe me I am running as fast as I can to get a copy because I need to know what happens next.

Unleashed by Sophie Jordan
What if the worst thing you ever did was unforgivable?
Davy’s world fell apart after she tested positive for Homicidal Tendency Syndrome. She was expelled from her school, dumped by her boyfriend, abandoned by friends, and shipped off to a camp that turns HTS carriers into soldiers. Davy may have escaped, but the damage has already been done. The unthinkable has happened. Now, even worse than having everyone else see her as a monster is the knowledge that they may have been right about her all along. Because Davy has killed.
On the run from government agents, Davy is rescued by Caden, the charismatic leader of an underground group of rebels. Despite Caden’s assurances that the Resistance is made up of carriers like her, Davy isn’t sure she can trust them. Then again, she doesn’t even know if she can trust herself . . . or her growing feelings for Caden. But if she doesn’t belong with Caden and his followers, is there anywhere she can call home?
UNLEASHED mini-teaser:
I thought being labeled a killer and losing everything—my future, family, boyfriend, friends—was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. It’s not. Finding out they were right. Finding out that’s exactly what I am?
That’s worse.

Raven Wells is no ordinary girl. Plucked from an orphanage by a scheming earl, she has been raised like a thoroughbred, groomed for one purpose: Revenge. Unfortunately, the Earl of Trent never let her in on the plan, so when she meets the man of her dreams, Sir Phillip Warrick, she has no idea that every lesson, every tutor and every impulsive inch of her was crafted for his seduction and destruction. What she does know is that love is the prize she wants most and that nothing should stand in a woman’s way to getting what she wants.
Phillip Warrick is simply trying to recover his friendship with the earl, unaware that the man has spent years laying the foundation for destroying Phillip’s peace of mind. What he does know is that the earl’s ward, Raven Wells, is mesmerizing, fascinating and apparently without reserve. Witty, beautiful, impulsive and impossible—she is like a siren beckoning him to forget the rules and seize only the pleasures of the moment.
Together, their love will set in motion a series of events that no one can foresee. Revenge creates more than one victim, but also more than one winner. Raven Wells will be transformed into a force of nature the likes of which Victorian London has never experienced before. LADY FALLS is the birth of the Black Rose and the end of innocence.

Otherwise Engaged by Amanda Quick
Otherwise Engaged by Amanda Quick is the story of Miss
Amity Doncaster and Benedict Stanbridge. She is a world traveler who writes
articles in the paper for the ladies of London to read and enjoy and is working
on a book that is a collection of all her travels.
Benedict is a man who is
sent to the Americas to retrieve some vital information about a new engine that
might revolutionize the world of oil. Amity meets Benedict when he is hurt and
she is on her way back to England. He asks her to promise him to take a letter
to his uncle if he doesn't survive. He recovers and little do they know that
their little trip would cause a scandal in the ton.
When Amity returns
to England she is kidnapped by a man who she doesn't recognize and she barely
escapes but thanks to her trusty fan she makes it out alive only to find
herself engaged to Benedict whom she hasn't talked to in a month. When he returns
he sees the announcement and gets her agree to the rumors so that they can find
the man who kidnapped her and is referred to by the papers as the “Bridegroom”.
This was a wonderful
story and I read it from cover to cover in one night because I wanted to know
who the “Bridegroom” was. I was wrong on who I thought the killer was but then I was right that another
character was involved.
Thank you Amanda for another great story and I love all
of her mystery stories. Can’t wait for the next story to come out.
Book 2 of the Ivy Chronicles, Tease by Sophie Jordan
Emerson has three rules when it comes to men: 1. Never let
them see your true self. 2. Never fall in love. 3. Always leave them begging
for more!
The early anticipated, second book in Sophie Jordan’s The Ivy
Chronicles: Tease was released on
May 27th. I got my copy a few days later and devoured the book in
one sitting. I loved Jordan’s first book, Foreplay, where I first met Emerson,
the resident bad girl.
Tease is Emerson’s story and boy did it make me understand
why she act the way she does. I knew she had secrets but this was a shocker and
I truly felt for her. Shaw is, without a doubt, the perfect guy for Emerson. She
likes the bad boys and he fits the bill. Emerson may think she can control him
but she finds out very quickly that he is unlike any guy she has ever met.
Shaw shows her what it’s like to be cared for but he wants
the real Emerson, not just the façade. He made me wish I was twenty years
younger or better yet, he was older because Shaw would be the perfect man in my
life. Someone who wants to take care of
the lady in his life but doesn’t expect her to change and will be there through
thick and thin. Where do I sign up? I can’t wait for Sophie’s next book, Wild,
which will be Georgia’s story. Oh boy, I can only imagine what is going to
happen between her and Reece’s brother, Logan!
