Welcome to the world of protecting people. Kalil has been assigned to protect Marissa Taylor also known as Shalo. She and her friends have been hiding from a serial killer for seven years and he is back. Shalo doesn't realize at first what is going on so Kalil has to make an excuse of why he is suddenly showing up in her life. She has existed for the last seven years with no relationships because she thinks it is better to visit a sex club and have no strings attached flings.
Then in steps Kalil and the rules change. They both fight their feelings for each other due to their past but they come to realize there is no way to ignore them.
It is a on the edge of your seat read and yes there are some very graphic sex scenes but they play into the story very well since some of the scenes are set in a sex club.
I was turning page by page to see who would win in the end.
Can't wait for the next installment of the series.
